• Established a new horizontal design function of 25+ highly specialised Managers and ICs, with the remit to scale the quality and velocity of design across all touchpoints.

• My direct accountability spanned across Creative Technology, Language and Localisation, Design Operations and Creative (Brand) Design.

• I built this team from scratch to deliver impact on future of work challenges across markets. This included recruiting specialist creative talent and performance management to realign / exit poor performers.

• Worked within a multidisciplinary leadership team to shape design’s strategic influence across the organisation, making sure horizontal and vertical workflows were closely aligned.

• Hands-on Design Leader for core product and platform teams: Design Systems, Mobile, Find ( Home & Search experiences).

• Responsible for the product portfolio strategy, balancing commercial, clinical and user needs. Brought in research and design partners to strengthen insights and direction.

• Worked closely with the Clinical team. Key projects included hardware upgrades / alternatives, CQC registration and test panel bundling.

• Guided the organisation through scale-up growing pains: shaping people, process and product maturity.

• Grew a multidisciplinary design team from ~ 20 to 80+

• Introduced and stood up Design Operations, Creative Technology and Service Design capabilities.

• Hands-on leadership of the Design Systems team, bringing in key hires and establishing rituals that vastly improved ability to ship great quality product, and enabled rebranding execution.

• Navigated team culture and growth during the COVID pandemic, with a team spanning multiple countries. I’m incredibly proud of modelling kind, flexible leadership during this period — we were able to grow the team and maintain an incredibly high level of velocity and quality while holding space for some really difficult circumstances.

I founded and led a multidisciplinary practice within Deloitte Digital that uses creative and robust design research tools and techniques to uncover new opportunities, elevate existing projects and enhance our knowledge of human behaviours, motivations and habits as they relate to digital products and services.

After bringing in major partners, most notably the BBC, I left to explore the in-house product world. The practice I established has continued to grow since I left, and it’s still a major part of DD’s innovation hub.

Deloitte Digital brings a creative agency approach, powered by the professional expertise and network of Deloitte. I worked across a broad multidisciplinary design remit that included UX, Service Design, Content Design, Spatial Design and Research.

My time at Deloitte also gave me a great opportunity to learn about new markets across Europe, as I worked on major projects in Berlin, Stockholm, Amsterdam and Copenhagen as well as London.

I held Senior and Lead roles across a number of projects covering creative / advertising, insurance, food & beverage and tech-for-good agency. All my roles came via recommendations from previous clients, and allowed me to flex a broad range of skills across creative strategy and execution, research, learning design, UX and service design. Projects ranged from 2 months to 18 months.
